We, at the Bharatiya Liberal Party, under the circumstances, firmly and wholeheartedly support the current structure of our society and strongly oppose the very notion of same-sex marriage. In our beliefs and thoughts, it could malign the minds of our youth. that could lead to the destruction of natural family structures with grave consequences. It is a ill- conceived process to slay the mindset of the youth, divide society and take Hindu ethics and value systems away.
Recently, 121 prominent citizens, including judges, bureaucrats, etc. wrote to the President : 'We strongly feel that if we let this kind of same-sex union be legalized as marriage in the context of the Indian value system, the whole country will need to pay a price, the invisible and physical price will be too huge to estimate. It is imperative to let the Supreme Court know the accurate estimation and outcome of such a culturally disastrous step in the name of a 'path-breaking' approach,' it said.
